12 Years of Hosting a SaaS
For 12 years I've been running the same SaaS product in production. As a CTO and founder, deployment, hosting, and infrastructure management is one of the most challenging parts of my job. A lot of the time I didn't really know I was doing. Unfortunately when you have a production app that lots of people use, you don’t always have the time to learn things properly.
My talk will take you on a journey through the 4 phases of hosting our SaaS product so far: Heroku (PaaS), Digital Ocean (VPS), AWS (but using it as a VPS), using AWS properly.
I hope if you see yourself on the same path as me, you can skip a few of the worst bits!
